The Ukulhas International Masters Table Tennis Tournament will be organized by Ukulhas Council in association with Table Tennis Association of Maldives and Victory Sports Club.

Venue
Convention Center, Ukulhas, Maldives. The popular touristic island of Ukulhas in North Ari Atoll is famous for its beautiful beaches including the spectacular bikini beach and spectacular sand bank, affordable luxury Guest Houses and its hospitable people.
Events
The following events will be played in each age group:
1. Event 1: Men’s Open Singles
2. Event 2: Women’s Open Singles
3. Event 3: Men’s Open Doubles
4. Event 4: Women’s Open Singles
5. Event 5: Mixed Doubles
Age Groups
40– 49 years - born on or before 31 Dec 1980
50– 59 years - born on or before 31 Dec 1970
60– 69 years - born on or before 31 Dec 1960

Hospitality
Ukulhas offers a range of comfortable Guesthouse accommodation at reasonable rates. They can be booked for the duration of your preferred stay online.
Following Guesthouses have been designated exclusively as Tournament Hotels that will offer special discounts for those participating in the tournament and their families:

The special rates offered in the above hotels are as follows:
Single Occupancy Room: USD 60.00 (B&B) USD 75.00 (Half Board) Double Occupancy Room: USD 70.00 (B&B) USD 100.00 (Half Board for two persons)
Hotel websites will show different rates and therefore participants should email the hotel first without booking online and inform that they are travelling to participate in the tournament and request for special rates.
Registration
In view of the capacity limitations at the Venue, the total number of participants in the tournament will be capped at a total of 60 players and players are advised to register early. They are required to email the completed registration form together with a confirmation of hotel booking to table.tennis@ukulhascouncil.gov.mv. Local Transport
Ukulhas is 72 kilometers from Velaanaa International Airport and Organisors will arrange fast speed boat ferry service from the International Airport to Ukulhas and back. It will take approximately 75 minutes and speed boat ticket will cost USD 45.00 per person each way. This ticket can be purchased before boarding the ferry. Cash or major credit cards could be used to purchase ticket.
Entry fee
Entry fee for the tournament is as follows:
USD 65.00 – for players who confirm accommodation BEFORE 29 February 2020
USD 75.00 – for players who confirm accommodation AFTER 29th February 2020.
Entry Fee will be collected on the island of Ukulhas and will need to be paid prior to the Draw on 6 April 2020. Only players who have paid their Entry fee will be included in the Draw.
The Entry fee also includes daily buffet lunch from 7 – 10 April 2020 for registered participants. If family members wish to join, an additional USD 50.00 will be charged per person.
There will be no additional fee to participate in the Doubles and Mixed Doubles events.
System of Play
Qualification Stage: All players are required to play in the qualification stage, which will be in round robin groups.
Single Elimination Stage: Players will advance to the single elimination stage based on the order of finish in the qualification stage. The first two finishers in each group will advance to the Main Draw.
Players may only register in their assigned age category, which will be determined by date of birth based on ITTF age criteria.
Men’s and Women’s Doubles: Players may only register in one doubles event, however they are not required to enter in their age category. Instead, players may play in a different age groups based on the age group of their partner, however, the age category will be determined based on the youngest player in the pairing. If a player does not have a doubles partner, the organizers will assign a doubles partner in that age category prior to the event. The organizers will make every effort to assign partners from the same country. There is no additional entry fee required to participate in the doubles event.
The same will apply for mixed doubles entry.
All matches will be played best-of-five games.
Earliest start of matches is 0900 hrs. during all days of the event.
Jury
A jury of 5 members shall be constituted to manage the Tournament. A minimum of 3 members will need to be present to decide.
Prize Money
Following prize money will be awarded for each age group
a. Men’s Singles Champion USD 500
b. Women’s Singles Champion USD 500
c. Men’s Singles Runner-Up USD 250
d. Women’s Singles Runner-Up USD 250
Dress Code
Players are required to wear the Tournament T-Shirt provided by the organizers during the Opening Ceremony. For matches, they may wear any other T-shirts. However, no part of the uniform should be white.
About Ukulhas and weather
Ukulhas is an island famous for its beautiful beaches, affordable luxury Guest Houses and hospitable people. The weather in Ukulhas is expected to be warm and humid; temperature between 28 – 32 degrees Celsius. Therefore, players are advised to bring appropriate clothing. The Tournament venue and hotels will have air conditioning.
Restriction on consumption of Alcoholic beverages
The island of Ukulhas is an inhabited island and therefore alcohol will not be available on the island as per Maldivian laws and regulations. However, arrangements can be made to visit the nearby Tourist resorts where alcoholic drinks are available.
